The Live/dead status of bacteria under a fluorescence microscope was observed. The concentration of bacteria
was adjusted to about 2×108
/ml according to the Mcfarland standard. Cells were centrifuged at 10,000 rpm for
5minutes and the pellet was suspended in HEPES (4-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid, 10 mM)
buffer. The bacterial suspension (1 ml) was mixed with 3 μl of pre-mixed dye of SYTO9 and propidium iodide
(Live/dead BacLight Bacterial Viability assay, Life technologies), and incubated at room temperature in the dark
for 15minutes. For the surface morphology of bacteria, Bmattacin2 in the concentration of 10μM was applied to
a colony of E. coli ATCC25922 or S. aureus ATCC25923 in aluminum foil. Afterwards, the mixture was air-dried
and coated with gold. The coated mixture was subjected to scanning electron microscopy

Tình trạng sống/chết các vi khuẩn dưới kính hiển vi huỳnh quang đã được quan sát thấy. Nồng độ của vi khuẩnđược điều chỉnh để khoảng 2 × 108/ml theo tiêu chuẩn Mcfarland.
