The transfer function of a PPF controller rolls-off at 40 dB/decade at high frequencies, which is a desirable property to avoid the excitation of high frequency dynamics of the nanopositioner. An integral tracking controller was implemented in the outer loop to improve low frequency tracking (see Fig. 10).
