GENERAL POLICIES2. Emergency preparedness is a critical management area. U Hotels & Resorts management gives theprogramme preferential attention and full support.3. Preparing for an emergency situation is the responsibility of each General Manager. It is inherent in hisjob and is a way of life in the hotel.4. The Crisis Management Team (CMT) supersedes the tradition decision-making channel in a crisissituation. Full information of the Crisis Communication Management should refer to the individualhotels CCM plan. Continue use of the normal chain of command where practical is howeverencouraged.5. The internal emergency organization of the hotel is subordinate to the public authorities as soon as thelatter have responded. Management shall, ensure that the best interest of the hotel is served andmaintained at all time.6. All Managers and Supervisors are held responsible for cascading the contents of the manual to theirrespective subordinates. The Security Department, in coordination with the Engineering and HRDDivisions, meanwhile, shall ensure compliance with the provisions of the manual, conduct theappropriate training courses and seminars, and programme operational tests and drills.
