Plan and risk assess the task using the Task QSE Procedure template. Remember to include work at height rescue arrangements during assembly, if applicable, and during general use.  Verify that the person or people involved in work at height have been trained for the task and the specific equipment that they need to use.  Explain the risk assessment ‘work at height’ control measures, as specified in the relevant Task QSE Procedure.  Ensure the work team have the correct equipment and verify that it is in safe condition.  Ensure the rescue team have the correct equipment and verify that it is in safe condition.  Ensure the work team are appointed a Supervisor, who will conduct a pre-start check of the work area. (Check for interface issues and provide barriers and signs to keep others out of the work zone).
Check Who Site Manager When During any task involving work at height  Observe the work taking place to verify that it is being done in accordance with general principles associated with the method and equipment; and verify that risk assessment control measures are being successfully applied.
Act Who Site Manager When If an unsafe condition or unsafe behaviour is observed or anticipated  Take appropriate action according to the risk level. If necessary, record the required action on the on-line Improvement Action Register.
