2. Nature of the module
Since IT systems are increasingly under attack, knowledge of network security is of
paramount importance to the profession of IT. The IT professional must understand,
apply, and manage security in computing, communication, and organizational systems. It
is also important for the IT professional to provide users with a framework to be
sufficiently security aware to be an asset to the organization rather than a liability. This
module includes cryptography, authentication, access control systems, intrusion detection
system, anti-spam, web security, vulnerabilities, attacks, security domains, forensics and
business continuity planning.
3. Learning objectives
On the completion of this unit students should be able to:
3.1. Understand the ideas in network security
3.2. Enhance their critical thinking
3.3. Apply and manage real world network security problems

Kể từ khi hệ thống CNTT đang ngày càng bị tấn công, kiến thức về an ninh mạng là
hết sức quan trọng đến nghề nghiệp của CNTT. Các chuyên gia IT phải hiểu,
áp dụng, và quản lý bảo mật trong máy tính, truyền thông, và hệ thống tổ chức. Nó
cũng rất quan trọng cho các chuyên gia CNTT để cung cấp cho người dùng một khuôn khổ để được
đầy đủ an ninh nhận thức là một tài sản cho tổ chức chứ không phải là một trách nhiệm. Điều này
