By looking at the organisational chart, each department has each task and responsibility. From the top of company, the board of director (BOD) will decide the vision for the company. Their responsibility is to create the big and general picture for the whole company. The good visions help the company growth in the future. Missions will be formed up base on the visions that company has set before. The missions are the next step of vision; those missions will contain more clearly information what company need to do in the future. Based on the missions, the General Director will give each department tasks and responsibilities. Below the General Director, there are some Deputy General Directors supporting the General Manager to manage the business.In case of HOA BINH’s, each Deputy General Directors will responsible for different department. Deputy General Director of Administration will responsible for Admin Department, ISO Department, Training Department, and Security Department. Deputy General Director of Technical- Technology will be in charge of R&D Department, ERP Department, IT Department, Info Analysis Department, B.I.M Department, and will manage the MATEC Company and company in Myanmar. Deputy General Director of Business will be a Director of Design and Build, Tender Director, this Deputy will also in charge of Tender Department, Material Department and also be Director of Contract QS. Deputy General Director of Operation is Technical Director and responsible for HSE Board, Survey & Measure Board and Maintenance Board.Deputy General Director of the North is responsible for of Director in Malaysia and Hanoi Representative Office. Deputy General Director of Investment is responsible for Subsidiary companies. AHA Company, HBA Company, HBH Company, HBP Company, HBI Company, HHN Company, JHE Company, MHB Company, VITA Company are under control of Deputy General Director of Investment.Human Resources Department (HR Department) will responsible for the recruitment, training, develop the employee’s skills and relationship, etc. Financial Department will be divided into two small differences department: financial and accounting department. Financial department will make the decisions regarding working capital issues, and to forecast the future business’s performance. In addition, accounting department will collect the financial information to prepare the financial statement and see how the performance of the company. Planning Department will be divided into two parts. One is planning department, this department will find and form up plans for the growth of the company. This small department will prepare, review, and approve the plans for the company. Another part of the Planning Department is PR- Marketing Department. PR- Marketing Department will responsible for build-up the company image and promote the company to the community. Internal Control Department will control the internal activities, plans, policies, etc. to provide reasonable certainty that the company will achieve its missions.These departments have linked together to fulfil the visions and missions of the company. HOA BINH’s structure can be considered the same as tall structure. Using tall structure, the company can have some advantages and meet some advantages in organisation.Tall structure enable the company has narrow span of control and the coordination between employees is good. Because of close supervision and control so that there will be less mistake occurred and this structure suited for development of functional skills and competencies. Especially, tall structure is suitable for employees that need detail and clear instruction. Beside the advantages there are still some disadvantages. Because of many directors the process of decision making is slow. Not only waste time but also cost money of company to hire many directors.
