To request an expedited appointment

To request an expedited appointment, you must first schedule an appointment online at: https://evisaforms.state.gov/acs/default.asp?postcode=HCM&appcode=1 and then submit an Expedite Request at: http://hochiminh.usconsulate.gov/contact_acs.html.  When you submit your expedite request, you must include the reason for the expedite request, the date and time of your scheduled appointment, and provide documentation to support your claim.  The American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit will consider your request.

 

Please note that appointments are often cancelled so you can check the schedule (https://evisaforms.state.gov/acs/default.asp?postcode=HCM&appcode=1) periodically for an earlier appointment.

 

You can complete an Affidavit of Single Status, accompanied by a Statement in Lieu of Certificate of Non-Impediment to Marriage, at the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City.  These forms are also available at http://photos.state.gov/libraries/hochiminh/1234016/ACS/Blank-and-sample-Affidavit-of-Single-Status-for-marriage-in-Vietnam.pdf.  The Affidavit must be signed within six months of your application for a marriage certificate.  To schedule your appointment, please go to: https://evisaforms.state.gov/acs/default.asp?postcode=HCM&appcode=1.

 

If you bring in your Single Statement from the United States, you will be provided a Certification of Non-Impediment to Marriage at no cost.
