A practical point to note from eqn 10.19 and illustrated
in Fig. 10.16 is that a high activation energy
corresponds to a reaction rate that is very sensitive to
temperature (the Arrhenius plot has a steep slope).
Conversely, a small activation energy indicates a reaction
rate that varies only slightly with temperature
(the slope is shallow). A reaction with zero activation
energy, such as for some radical recombination reactions
in the gas phase, has a rate that is largely independent
of temperature.
