Cattle: Ruminants are the most sensitive of the domestic animals to the action of xylazine. In cattle, dose levels required to produce deep sedation and analgesia are one tenth of those required in horses, dogs and cats.

XYLAZIL-20 is given in doses of 0.50 - 0.75mL/100kg bodyweight i.m., or 0.15 - 0.75mL/100kg bodyweight by slow i.v., depending upon degree of sedation required.
