Following our resubmission of the B

Following our resubmission of the BER for CP07, attached to this letter, and in order to ensure timely operation of the BRT system, we would like to propose to employ a simplified and appropriate solution for ticketing and passenger information systems, the one that is similar to the current arrangement in the regular bus services operated by TRANSERCO. Such a simple system can be implemented in a much shorter period of time using off-the-shelf equipment, and could enable opening of BRT services before the credit closing. The items of fare collection, fleet management, passenger information and communication system will be supplied and installed in the future when conditions permit.

The IDA credit closes in December 2016, the implementation of the package CP07 will take at least 10 months, resulting in the BRT infrastructure and vehicles idle for an extended time period. Even in case the package BRTCP07 is eventually implemented, it is difficult for us to achieve the initial goal of the project due to difficulties in the organization of traffic in motorcycle traffic conditions as much now.


We would therefore like to submit the BER with No bidder is recommended for contract award and suggest cancellation of the procurement of this package CP07 and to make some addendum to the contracts (ex. CP08) along the lines suggested above.
