Step 4: Construction of superstructure: (1/3/2015 - 22/5/2015)
Construction of staging:
- Level construction plan for temporary pier installation.
- Use 25T crane and labor to install temporary pier I550 supporting staging.
- Use crane to install bar I550 along staging loading on temporary pier.
- Construct staging floor.
New truss assembly:
- Truss elements shall be manufactured at factory.
- Transport member of girder from factory to construction site by train.
- Assemble new truss on staging by crane. Sidewalk shall be installed after shifting new truss to position. Construction sequence is as follow:
+ Use crane to load members on wagon to transport to assembly position.
+ Assemble all lower chords, cross beam, stringer and longitudinal lower bracing system.
+ Install diagonal, upper chord, upper bracing system.
+ Place bolt and latch right after installing members. Install 20% bolt and latch of gusset plate, on which, the number of bolt is equal to 1/2 the number of latch.
+ Make camber for girder. Check the girder dimensions.
Shifting of new truss to position:
- Install temporary pier to support truss. Shift truss to nearby the new abutment at downstream.
- Jack up new truss; install shifting way from staging to new abutment position.
- Request for window time. Remove rail joints at 2 ends of bridge.
- Jack old truss up. Install shifting way from old abutment to staging for truss disassembly at upstream. Use crane to remove 2 construction girders L=7,2m (at A1 side) and L= 4,5m (at A2 side).
- Shift old truss onto staging at upstream. Shift new truss to design position. Jack new truss up to place temporary bearing shoes.
- Join rails. Check and open traffic.
Step 5: Finishing work of abutment:
Assemble sidewalk on bridge:
- Install sidewalk as design.
- Request for the window time. Install new bearing shoe:
+ Request for the window time. Jack new truss up to replace old bearing shoe by new bearing shoe.
Construct cut-off wall, abutment quarter cone:
