Assessment Criteria: Recently, Nestle has a system which operates every factor involved to their business, with the assessment, Nestle possibly in evaluate their own staffs, and their performance in difference areas. In addition, the assessments are used by the management level in Nestle; it gives the leaders the information of how many percent the works or tasks are done in specific time period, by specific people. So there are some examples for assessment criteria:1. Specific and clear for each task.2. Fully detailed and provide the necessary guidance for employees throughout the process.3. Transparent in tasks for understanding.4. Justifiable and achievable.5. Suitable in requirements and appropriate for different person. In Nestle, assessment criteria are divided into several parts such as: the job analysis, the job description, the team planning, the standard for performance and contribution, objectives and achievements for both short & long-term strategy. Job Description:“More general descriptions of a job or position at a given time, including its purpose and scope, duties and responsibilities, relationship with other jobs, and perhaps specific objectives and expected results. A job description offers a guide to what competences; responsibilities and results might be monitored and assessed” (Working With and Leading People Course Book, 2010, p.398)To Nestle, the job description is very important, it not only an effective tool to attract the new employees, it also provide the information in roles and responsibility of people in the company. Based on the job description, Nestle can judges their employees can monitor them with very clearly direction and exactly in decision. Furthermore, job description also is a benchmark to follow by members in the company, to see how people perform for their tasks, for their own jobs.Department or team plans, performance standards and targets:“These are the most clear-cut of all. If the plan specifies completion of a certain number of tasks, or production of a certain number of units, to a particular quality standard, assessment can be focused on whether those targets have been achieved.” (Working With and Leading People Course Book, 2010, p.398)Based on the information and observation, Nestle has ability to create and set up their own strategy by adding the objectives and targets for their own future. Understand the targets and know how important of the targets in the future, the leaders are responsible to take their own people to archive the targets. After a long period of working process, based on the remaining of objectives, Nestle will judges every team, every department using their result, after a few times the objectives which distributed for specific team or specific department become their standard for the process of developing to future.
