Supply-side challengesHolding suppliers to contractual agreements, and ensuring consistency andquality of service is an ongoing challenge for GVCE. One supplier pulled outof its contract despite GVCE having already registered 1200 customers.The supplier increased the previously fixed price by 25 per cent, refused topay GVCE’s management fee and offered to supply only a small number ofsystems (approximately 200). This was just after the Solar Credit multiplierwas reduced from five-fold to three-fold. This led to a poor project completionrate of 30 per cent, a loss of $40,000 in management fees, and around500 missed sales.
