Bored of your everyday life? How about you get off your high horse and write yourself a cheesy self-insert fanfiction of you and your best friend(s) in your favorite piece of media (book, movie, tv show, etc.)? Give it a happy ending because everyone deserves one of those! 
What’s your favorite fanfiction? Write a sequel, or a prequel, to your favorite fanfiction. Be sure to show it to the original fanfiction’s author, I’m sure they’ll love it! ;D 
Write a coffee shop AU of your favorite OTP. Give it cheesy fluff, such as sweet kisses over a cappuccino, gazing at each other lovingly in Starbucks, whatever you want! 
Take a hat, or a cup, or a bowl, or just something round that you can easily cover up so that you can’t peak! Write down the names of your favorite AUs in one, and draw one (or if you want to combine some, pick as many as you like!). Then, do the same for your OTP (or favorite characters if you want it to be casual). Write it! 
Get out your hat again. What’s your favorite fandom? Write down as many characters from it that you want, and then draw two (or for a threesome, then three) names from a hat, and write a fanfiction about that pairing! 
Combine two of your favorite fandoms, and see what would happen if they were to meet!  
What’s your favorite love (or a song that can be attributed to other quadrants if you’re a homestuck without a matesprit OTP) song? Write about your OTP, using the song as inspiration. 
Write a fanfiction for a fandom that you’ve never considered writing fanfiction for. 
What’s the crackiest crack pairing you can think of? Got one in mind? Good. Now write about their romance. 
A group of characters get stuck in a (closet, wishing well, jungle, maze, whatever you can think of). What happens? 
What happens during movie night when a group of friends decide to watch a scary movie together?
Get out your hat again and write down a bunch of character names. What happens when the two characters you draw the names of switch bodies? (or switch personalities)? 
Some characters decide to go to an anime convention. What happens? Do they cosplay? If so, who do they cosplay as? 
Try and write a fanfiction for a fandom that you’re not a part of. Read reviews by actual fans and see how much you got correct and what you got wrong! 
Okay. Now get your hat again. First, draw one or however many you like AUs. Got those? Now do the same for genre. No peeping on either of those! Set them aside and don’t look yet! Next, draw one or however many you like of fandoms you’re a part of. These you must look at, because the ones you draw, you are now going to toss in, all at once, names of characters from all the fandoms you drew, and pick some characters from those fandoms.
