5. SUPPLY OF MATERIALS
5-1 SUBCONTRACTOR shall prepare documents of material to get approval from CLIENT before carrying out the work. Document’s list depends on the CLIENT’s request.
5-2 This project can be deducted import duties regarding the imported materials which shall be used in this project, but consignee shall be the CONTRACTOR instead of Subcontractor. Therefore, CONTRACTOR can request the change of Consignee name and SUBCONTRACTOR shall agree. In this case, the Contractor’s cost for handling or import, delivery shall be discussed.
5-3 SUBCONTRACTOR has responsibility for delivering materials in the Site including Client’s acceptance quantity and quality. SUBCONTRACTOR shall take any defective materials out of site without any extra cost and without any delay to construction schedule.
5-4 CONTRACTOR supply main material (Steel Plate) of built-up beam, but other materials shall be supplied by SUBCONTRACTOR(base plate, anchor bolt, purlin, connection plate, accessories etc)
5-5 Subcontractor shall use a designated supplier of steel plate and Round pipe. Supplier’s list is as below:
1) Posco
2) Dongkuk Steel
3) Hyundai Steel
4) Maruichi Sun Steel JSC
5) SeAH Steel Vietnam
Subcontractor shall consider above condition and include price in quotation. If Subcontractor want to use other supplier, Subcontractor shall get approval from Employer before carry out work. But as a result, there are no additional cost or deduction.
5-6 CONTRACTOR shall hand over supplied material to SUBCONTRACTOR. SUBCONTRACTOR shall prepare storage and manage supplied material.
5-7 SUBCONTRACTOR shall control supplied material within our loss rate.
Allowable loss rate of supplied material is as follow:
- Steel Plate: 7% of total quantities
- Round Pile: 5% of total quantities.
SUBCONTRACTOR shall return scrap metal after use supplied material by CONTRACTOR. If SUBOCNTRACTOR shall not return scrap, SUBCONTRACTOR shall prove and submit evidence to CONTRACTOR.
If evidence is insufficient, CONTRACTOR shall have a right deduct Subcontract amount.
5-8 Subcontractor shall provide and apply rustproof paint which is one layer of fireproof paint system. Supplier’s list is as below
1) Nippon Paint
2) Jotun Paint
3) Carboline
4) SKK
Also Contractor can change supplier without consent to Subcontractor after finishing make a contract with paint Subcontractor for fireproofing paint. In this case Subcontractor shall follow Contractor’s instruction and as a result, there are no additional cost or deduction.
5-9 Subcontractor shall provide and install roof panel. Supplier’s list is as below
1) Southern Steel Sheet
2) NS Bluescope Lysaght Vietnam
Subcontractor shall consider above condition and include price in quotation. If Subcontractor want to use other supplier, Subcontractor shall get approval from Employer before carry out work. But as a result, there are no additional cost or deduction.
5-10 Subcontractor shall provide and apply finish paint (exclude fireproof paint) and get approval from Employer before carry out paint work. Subcontractor shall pay test fee and other cost for getting material approval.
5-11 Any material and tool not required for immediate installation shall be properly stored off-site at SUBCONTRACTOR’s expense.
5-12 All materials shall comply with latest revision of all applicable codes and regulations including JIS and ASTM standards or approved equivalent.
5-13 “Accessories” means all materials related with works. The costs for any accessories shall be included in the unit prices.
5-14 SUBCONTRACTOR is responsible to maintain, manage and protect the whole of material in the Site at a location specified by the Contractor.
