Logical partitionLogical partitioning is the ability to make a single system run as if it were two or moresystems. Each partition represents a division of resources in your computer system. The partitions are logical because the division of resources is virtual and not alongphysical boundaries. There are, however, configuration rules that must be followed. For the rest of the course, logical partitions will be called simply LPARs or partitions forbrevity.
