At 10.30am, 12nd August 12nd 2014, Faculty of Civil Engineering continued Journal Club’s activities with the presentation of Dr.Tu Anh Trinh article published in Elsevier thematic Ecological Indicator 42 (2014) 122-134 with the topic "Accessibility to green space: GIS based indicators for Sustainable planning in a dense urban context" and Dr.Le Minh Ngo article "Co-evolution: a model for renovation of traditional urban fringe of Villages in Guangzhou, China," published in the Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering, Urban Planning and Design majors.
Attend meetings with the participation of faculty leadership, Ms.Ngoc Hang Pham - an expert from Department of Science and Technology Development and the entire departmental faculties and officials.
At the beginning of the meetings is the presentation of Dr. Tu Anh Trinh on "Accessibility to green space: GIS based indicators for Sustainable planning in a dense urban context". Dr. Tu Anh Trinh highlighted the main content of the article: the role and importance of green space in urban areas, not only on environmental issues but also attention to the interests of vulnerable objects such as children, the elderly; thereby measuring the area lack access to green space with reasonable method. The specific conclusions of the topic (the impact of the outcome variables) together with implications for urban planning through research results are also presented in detail.
