Dear Stella,

Thank you very much for your mail as well as your information and attached documents. We will shortly fill in the Registration Form and make the payment for registration. Please let me know the address for the document to be sent and how to make the payment. Also, along with Registration Form, is there any other documents that Dung's family need to send to King's Ely beforehand?

In the meantime, Dung's parents would like to have a number of questions that I believe you will help us address below:

1) What is the proportion and distribution between British students and International Students at King's Ely? in terms of percentage. We accept a maximum of 54 students into the intensive programmes, this is a mix of year 10 and year 11. This enables smaller classes for more individual interaction and teaching.

2) Is there extra-curricular activities on daily basis including weekend? The extra-curricular activities are run through the whole week, so this includes the weekends, such a sports normally on the weekends but some excursions etc take place on weekends too.

3) How King's Ely manages its students in terms of their study and boarding lives? Does your school focus on strict management? What is the frequency of the report to be sent to parents? I have looked at the attached documents, would it be possible for Dung's parents to have a more frequent report from School, such as on weekly basis? The day starts from 8.30am however as a boarding student, the house goes over to breakfast along with all the other boarders and non-boarders if they require breakfast so all students are open to this facility and have the opportunity to mix with all years, this takes place in the monastic barn, this is where all meals are served for students and staff. Sixth formers have their own refectory which is in the Old Palace. The students day is then made up of their lessons and any additional extra-curricular activities after school. The boarding houses are fully manned by a house Matron and House Master for the appropriate boarding house is Mr Nick Williams. There are also tutors on duty each evening. All students have prep each day to complete. The house rules are quite strict there are no electronics available after a certain time and set bed times. The weekends are more leisurely and the house Master normally sets activities, take out/film nights etc just like the students would at home creating a friendly relaxed atmosphere. We have a strict policy here at Kings with regards to how students are to conduct themselves as well as the production of work. However, we pride ourselves on our support team and all students are able to approach their teachers/staff with any issues they have. Reporting is done by the students tutor, class teachers as well as the Academic Director for the department. If the family have any issues they are always able to contact members of staff directly via telephone or email regarding progression. The students have mini test regularly to pitch their development.

4) Are there many students studying at King's Ely going to study Finance course at the good universities in the UK? This would be a question better answered by the Academic Director as he assists the students with their educational plans. Mr Norbury can be contacted on his email regarding this.

5) Is there any Vietnamese student at King's Ely currently and for the next academic year (2016-2017)? I am unable to answer this currently as the system is down but I will certainly update you on this.

6) IF Dung joins King's Ely to study GCSE for 1 year, then move to A-level at your school, will there be British students in his classes in both 1 year GCSE course and A-level? Certainly at A Level he will have English students with him, with the regards to the 1 year GCSE programme, we do have strong English speaking students from English speaking countries for example Australia, South Africa.
