No lol, it used to be something like that before years ago. But at one point there came alot of MCN (multi channel networks) on youtube. You basically sign a contract with a network also stating your split revenue etc. You could also use the Youtube Adsense for monetizing but thats 55/45 revenue split if you directly use adsense. If you chose a network you can negotiate the revenue split wich can go up to 90/10.

To my understanding you are incorrect.
Signing up to a network will still use adsense commercials on your videoes. From your 55/45 split from youtube, the network takes a further cut of your 55%.

That's not with every network and every partner. Youtube recently made a update on their monetization terms and contracts.
But on most it is like the way you say.

For ex. my estimated earning on youtube dashboard is 615$ i'm getting 435$ of it from my network... for the last 4 days
