involved in what was now a mysterious and
spreading outbreak
CDC simply called it:

Mystery of the KILLER fever
CDC announced that their investigators had
isolated the cause of Legionnaires' disease:
New fastidious G(‐) bacillus from lung tissue
221 people contracted the disease and 34 of died
