the isotope of interest, e is the absolute full energy
photopeak detection e$ciency and ac is the absolute
c-ray emission probability in per cent.
Experimental procedure for determination of the
absolute c-ray emission probabilities essentially involves
the determination of number of neutrons
captured and the absolute e$ciency of the detector.
We have followed two methods to determine the
N# . The "rst is based on the fact that, for every
captured neutron there is a c-ray transition leading
to the ground state. Therefore, the N# was deduced
from the sum of all the c-ray transitions leading to
the ground state using expression [10]:

where the sum extends on all the transitions ending
at the ground state, Ai0 is the area under the peak
of energy Ei0 and e(Ei0) is the absolute detection
e$ciency of the c-line.
The second approach is based on the fact that the
