INTRODUCTIONUndergone thousands of years of history , Vietnam has made big changes associated with the building and defending the country now , with the war of resistance against foreign invasion and civil wars , prolonged power struggle , through which appearance should portray the country , remains a nation. With these characteristics peculiar history , the development of social – economic formations is a complex process of transformation , with a mixture of many different factors.For Western countries , the development of social – economic formations seems to follow clear rules . Social – economic formations that Marx had mentioned in his work when placed in the context of the history of the Western nations , there is a certain compatibility . The transition between social – economic formations is quite clear , orderly development of the primitive commune , slave – owning regions, feudalism, capitalism , and as Marx predicted development socialism.However , the transformation of social – economic formations does not comply with the rules and order it. There are forms of economic - society does not exist , there are also social – economic formations only appear some factors are breeding ground for some time , it has faded . On the other hand , the social – economic formations ever existed in history does not undergo a conversion process decisively. As a social and economic patterns appeared , the old social – economic formations in society are not lost , remains intertwined with the form factor of the new social – economic formations has emerged .This is an interesting characteristic of the history of Vietnam . Social – economic formations develop in a specific pattern , in line with a separate historical conditions of the country. The process of social – economic formations in Vietnam is not experiencing the stage as the Western countries , which have many similarities with some other Asian countries . Basically , the history of Vietnam from the beginning until the period from 1945 has undergone social – economic formations: the primitive commune , the Asiatic mode of production , fendalism , semifendal colonial society.The development of social – economic formations in Vietnam is a special process . Through understanding the transformation of the social – economic formations, we can better understand the characteristics of Vietnam's history, improving the understanding of the process of mobilization of national history contributing oriented development path for the country's future.
