Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba has exhibited

Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba has exhibited across Europe, Asia and North America. His work has been shown in numerous biennales, including the Venice Biennale and the Shanghai, Istanbul, and Sao Paulo Biennales.

He has had solo exhibitions at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, the Kunsthalle Wien, Austria, and the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, Rome. His work is held in many permanent collections including The Guggenheim New York, the Whitney (New York), Museum of Contemporary Art (LA), 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa (Japan) and the Centre Pompidou.

Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba is in Sydney for KR8V and ISEA 2013 where his work Breathing is Free is part of Running the City.

Breathing is free (commenced 2007), is an ongoing video work by Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba, one of the world’s leading contemporary video artists. It follows the artist as he runs through cities of the world. To date there have been 17 runs in 17 cities which have included Tokyo, Geneva, Singapore, Chicago, Guangzhou and Canberra. Running the City will present 14 runs that the artist has completed to date.
