And the homemade Pizza base is so fresh and soft. And you can prepare the pizza dough and freeze it for upto 3 months. How good that is. With all the simple ingredients , we can make a soft and tasty pizza at home just in 2 hours including the rising and baking time. After started making Pizza at home, I never went back to the store bought Pizza dough. So on to the recipe.Ingredients:For the Pizza dough:All purpose flour – 3 cupsYeast – 1 tablespoon or 1 envelope or 7 gmWater – 1 cupExtra virgin Olive oil – 1/8 cup + few teaspoonsMilk – 1/4 cupSugar – 1 tablespoonSalt – 1 teaspoonFor the Pizza :Pizza sauce – 1/4 cupMozzarella cheese or any combo of cheese preferred – 1/4 cup or more ( I used combo of Mozzarella and cheddar cheese)Veggie Toppings of your choice : I used bell peppers and baby corn.Method for making Pizza Dough :1. Take 1/4 cup of lukewarm milk (not hot) and add sugar to it and stir it to dissolve. Then add the yeast to it , stir well and let it rest in a warm place for upto 10 minutes. The yeast mixture should have turn frothy as in the below picture.step12. Now , in a mixing bowl add in the olive oil, salt and warm water and mix well. To this add in the yeast mixture. Make sure the water or the milk must be luke warm and should not be hot. If they are hot , it might kill the yeast.step23. Now add in the all purpose flour and gather it to a sticky dough. If it is too sticky add in few drops of oil.step34.Now cover this with a damp cloth or towel and keep it in a warm place for atleast one hour.step45. After one hour , the dough should have risen to double its volume and should look frothy as shown in the pic below. Grease your hand with a drop of oil and gather the dough softly.step5Now we are done with the pizza dough. See how simple is that. Now you can freeze the dough for later use or you can go ahead to make pizza. To make the Pizzapizza1. Preheat your oven to 410 Fahrenheit. Grease a pan or pizza stone with 2 drops of oil and dust it with flour.step6On this pan, spread the pizza dough using your hand with a light rim around the edges as shown above.2. Now spread the pizza sauce over the flatten dough. Please check my homemade pizza sauce recipe.step73. Now spread the cheese over the sauce as generous as you like it ;)step84. Now you can add in the topping of your choice and bake the pizza in the preheated oven for upto 15 minutes or the base turns golden brown in color and the cheese starts bubbling.Take the Pizza out of the oven and enjoy the soft and hot Pizza topped with chilli flakes.pizza3About these adsShare this:10Share on FacebookClick to share on Google+Click to share on PinterestClick to email this to a friendClick to printRelatedPizza SaucePizza SauceIn "International Recipes"AmrakhandAmrakhandIn "Sweets and Desserts"Molten Lava CakeMolten Lava CakeIn "Sweets and Desserts"Tagged: homemade, international, italian, pizza, vegetarianPost navigation← Pizza SauceKeerai Poriyal →8 thoughts on “Homemade Pizza”Malar April 24, 2015 at 11:19 pm ReplyYummy Pizza :)Liked by 1 personArasi Arumugam April 25, 2015 at 9:38 am ReplyThank you Malar :)Likecoconutcraze April 25, 2015 at 10:31 pm ReplyBeautifully done, Arasi!
