Dear Hiro-san and Nao-san,
As I used to be an old staff at APL company, I am delighted and grateful for APL giving me experience of working in a wonderful Japanese agricultural model. Nao-san, my manager gave me opportunities to learn a lot. Nao-san is also a kind-hearted person and care about the workers. Especially I respect and admire Hiro-san because you are trying to develop APL project. You are so nice and restless. From my heart of a Vietnamese, I want to thank Japanese people for helping our country.
Since I considered Hiro-san as my grandfather and Nao-san as a brother, I write this email. I learned the Japanese spirit of working from you.
I know that when I started my internship some days in APP farm, I heard the news from Thanh-san, APP director that APL is angry with APP because I used to be APL employee and am now at APP.
First of all, I would like to apologize Hiro-san and APL that I did not give a notice of my presence at APP to APL.
Secondly, I want to say very clearly about my working time at APL, the reasons for leaving and why I am here. After 7 months working for APL, I worked hard and supported Nao as much as I could. I am also aware of any mistakes I made and tried to improve.
However, the other day, Nao called me into the office for a talk including Nao-san, Huyen-san and Shin-san. I was asked to change my working attitude because of my weaknesses at work. All this matter was discussed in English. I totally agreed with what they said. Nonetheless, towards the end of the talk, Huyen-san gave me a warning in Vietnamese, which means Nao-san and Shin-san may not understand the end of the story. She said that “If you stop working at APL, APL will have no intention of keeping you here any more. If I don’t want anyone to stay here, anyone in the management will do the same.” She focused on the point that “The company needs workers, workers need the company, I do not need workers, but workers have to have me.
After the talk, I was very shocked and felt like I was indirectly forced to leave and it was totally unexpected. My integrity was damaged and I lost my motivation.
As an educated person, I think I should have given a sensitive reason related to my health to avoid any conflict with such a powerful Huyen-san and easy to leave APL. Thus after stopping working at APL, I have the right to work for any companies. I kindly ask anyone to respect my decision. And I confirm that I did not say any information that 's not good about APL to anyone.
Now with my career ambition and enthusiasm to work in agriculture, I came back from Sai Gon to Da Lat and I know that APP is in need of workers so I applied for internship there. Thanh-san gave me the chance and accepted me to learn at APP.
Finally, all I said above is totally true. I am writing this email to prevent any conflict between APL and APP. I hope the management people can understand my situation and together bring the company to a higher level.
