A heart attack, a Stroke or Recent Stroke, chest pain due to heart
problems, poor circulation in their legs (peripheral arterial disease), acute
Coronary Syndrome (ACS), established Peripheral Arterial Disease;
use with Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI), clopidogrel reduces the risk of
heart attack and stroke in people who have cardiovascular disease [1-
4]. Due to vascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, clopidogrel platelet
inhibiting activity is an effective drug for reducing the incidence heart
attacks, claudicating, or ischemic strokes. Clopidogrel reduces the
chance of arterial blockage, by inhibiting platelet aggregation, thus
preventing heart attacks and strokes. Clopidogrel bisulfate is methyl
(+)-(S)-α-(2-chlorophenyl)-6,7-dihydrothieno[3,2-c] pyridine-5(4H)-
acetate sulfate (1:1) with molecular formula C
16H16ClNO2S.H2SO4 and
its molecular mass equals 419.9 as in Figure 1.
