After an extend period of time, the patient may become physically dependent on the medication. That is, the patients body will demand more medication. The person may the feel physically or psychologic or behavioral effects in the patient. These effects may include mood swings such as feelings of anger. One common method is for a patient to try to reduce the doses of medication toward the end of the treatment period.
