to users. In contrast, Threshold-based method tries to keep
the high video bitrate but the buffer level goes quickly below
the minimum threshold and thus, the client has to switch to
the lowest video bitrate. Unlike other methods, our method
provides the video bitrates which are gradually decreased
with a step in approximately 400kbps. As a result, the video
clip provided by our method has a less negative impact on
user. Further, thanks to the buffer estimation, the buffer level
is usually maintained and rarely lower than the threshold
βmin = 10s.
