exhibit a narrow size distribution with superparamagnetic and
super hydrophilic characteristics. These unique properties may
arise from the close matching between the carboxylate groups
of the polyacrylic and magnetite nanocrystal surface.16,22,23 By
increasing the amount of polyacrylic acid in reaction mixtures,
one can effectively control the growth of magnetic nanoparticle
cores, and the resultant PAA-MNPs have average diameters of
4-30 nm.
