WATER POLLUTION
Hi, everybody. I’m ______, coming from “_______” group, which consists of _____ members. We are all worried about water pollution. Here are our duty
- …………………………. have found the information
- ………………………… have searched pictures
- ………………………… have made draft for presentation
- …………………………… have made the presentation using powerpoint

And today on behalf of our group, I’m happy to be here telling you about one of the hottest issues nowaday- water pollution. We will share you 4 main parts, including the reasons, effects, and solutions for this problem
Let’s start with the reasons. The first reason for water pollution is sewage. When people eat something but they can’t eat it up, they will throw it into the river or streams , which makes them contaminated. In addition, waste water (chemicals washed down drains and discharged from factories) can cause water pollution. Around half of all ocean pollution is caused by sewage and waste water. Each year, the world generates perhaps 5–10 billion tons of industrial waste, much of which is pumped untreated into rivers, oceans, and other waterways. Sometimes the causes of water pollution are quite surprising. Chemicals released by smokestacks (chimneys) can enter the atmosphere and then fall back to earth as rain, entering seas, rivers, and lakes and causing water pollution. That's called atmospheric deposition. Last but not least, 12 percent of the oil that enters the oceans comes from tanker accidents; over 70 percent of oil pollution at sea comes from routine shipping and from the oil people pour down drains on land
Now let’s move on to consequences of water pollution. As far as I’m concerned, A common result of water pollution is the incidence of acute and chronic diseases related to water pollution, such as conjunctivitis, diarrhea, cancer ... grow. Besides water pollution also causes big losses for the business industry, aquaculture households

To resolve above condition, there are some suggested solutions. First and foremost, making people aware of the problem is the first step to solve it. In addtion, the government should enact laws making it tougher for people to pollute water and governing oceans. Last but not least, we have to treat wastewater before discharging it into rivers and the sea.

In conclusion, Life is ultimately about choices—and so is pollution. We can live with sewage-strewn beaches, dead rivers, and fish that are too poisonous to eat. Or we can work together to keep the environment clean so the plants, animals, and people who depend on it remain healthy. We can take individual action to help reduce water pollution, for example, by using environmentally friendly detergents, not pouring oil down drains, reducing pesticides, and so on. We can take community action too, by helping out on beach cleans or litter picks to keep our rivers and seas that little bit cleaner. And we can take action as countries and continents to pass laws that will make pollution harder and the world less polluted. Working together, we can make pollution less of a problem—and the world a better place.
