Objective:To ensure all fruits in the farms are harvested at required calibration of 45mm in the 2nd hand and or 37 mm at the last hand.3.Scope;This work instruction define the action and responsibilities of harvesters/ workers in performing the harvest operation in the field4.Work instructions:-Prepare the following materials to be used:Harvesting boloShoulder conia/ paddingSharpening stoneCable rollersTowing ropeExtra disinfectant solutationScabbared with disinfectant solutation-Go to the farm assign area for harvesting operation-Look for stems that are harvestable fruits-Color coding proorities (depend on volume)-One worker will pre- calibrate the fruits 45mm (2nd hand) and 37mm (last hand)-The calibrator will put signage to all fruits finished pre-calibration so that the cutter easily find the harvestable fruits-The cutter/ harvester pass every two lines from the start to the end of the two lines to avoid miss- out in harvesting the fruits-Cut the stem slowly (eye level or depend on plant height to bend a little for the backer to get a good position on the shoulder conia/padding-Avoid hitting the followers by the cut stems and damaging the leaves/ plants-The backers carrying the fruits with extra care going to the hauling xehicles or the the cable way system-The hangerer will stay on the cable way, waiting for the harvested fruits to be tie/ hang on the cable-The carrero will help first their group until there are fruits available for fowing/ pulling-The backers carrying the fruits upon reaching the cable will turn back position from the hangerer and the hangerer always ready to tie on the stalk using the cable rollers and the rope.-Tie and hang properly to avoid fruits falling down-The hangerer limits up to 25-30 bunches only so that the carrero can manage towing/ pulling-The carrero towing/ pulling thre the cable way system with extra care to avoid falling down/ grounded of fruits while on the way to the packing plant/ house-The carrero will count well the bunches and write it on the harvest tripticket the block, the age, and color ribbon (example: c1.1; 9 weeks and red)-The carrero will identify where to write the block, age and color where it belong in the tripticket and give it to the packing house fruit receiver-The carrero wil bring empty cable rollers and feed back from the fruit inspector if any when he go back to this group and every towing of ruits to the packing house-Repeat procedures until finish harvesting-Report or return material to the warehouse for safe keeping
