• On April 26th 1995, the Prime Minister signed decision No.235 / TTg to established University of Engineering Technology Ho Chi Minh City. Until June 26th 1995, Hutech university officially put into operation and admissions university leveling first course in the 1995-1996.
• On August 30th 2007, Hutech was the first university in VietNam that applied ISO 9001:2000 to all in management and education's activities of school.
• On February 16th, 2009, Hutech university was officially to Prime Minister assigned to the master level training. Up to now, there are 7 majors are trained in Hutech University.
• On November 20th 2010, university of Engineering technology HCMC officially inaugurated put into operation a new training facility by the school at 31/36 Ung Van Khiem, Ward 25, BinhThạnh District, HCM city With 12,000 square meters, more than 72 international standard classrooms, and morden facilities, the total cost of construction are over 120 billions.
• On March 20th 2013, PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE Ho Chi Minh City and Management committee High-Tech Zone Ho Chi Minh City, formally awarded the certificate of investment for High-Tech projects Hutech with an area of 5 ha.It will become a scientific research center and technology transfer, organization, top domestic and international bussiness of Vietnam in the fields of Information Technology, Biotechnology, Automation Technology chemical and new energy technology, renewable energy.

• On October 19th, 2013, University Of Engineering Technology Ho Chi Minh City officially renamed University of Technology Ho Chi Minh City. Also this time, HUTECH officially inaugurated and put into operation headquarters building HUTECH Institute of International Education at 276-282 Dien Bien Phu Street, Ward 17, BinhThanh District.
