The purpose of IT organizations is to collect, analyze, and store all company information. Therefore, by implementing IT governance, a company will have the control needed to meet guidelines of these regulations. (i.e., the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.)Every company, large and small, will need a way to ensure the IT functions support the organization’s business and objectives. However, the level of IT governance sophistication varies according to size, industry or applicable regulations.
