Power Engineering Research Lab is one among three major laboratories of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, HCMUT. The Lab was originally established as Central Electrical Lab for training senior students in the field of Electrical Equipments and Automation. Recently, this central Lab and other labs, whose equipments donated from international community through such as Schneider Center Project, PFIEV Project and Green Power Lab (from EU), are united together, and renamed as Power Engineering Research Lab.
The main missions of the laboratory involve :
· Scientific Research: Power converter topologies, PWM control, Digital control, applications of power converters in renewable energy, modern control techniques for electrical drives. Student's research activities are following:
· To organize the training courses in the field of the industrial electronics and automation, and and medium voltage equipments.
· To take part in the education and training activities for the undergraduate programs and the postgraduate programs
· To contribute to the i exchange program for professors and students.
