In 1892, James O'Laverty found a lump of bog butter. He wrote about it. He said the butter still had marks from the fingers of the woman who shaped it. He said it tasted "somewhat like cheese."
In 2013, turf cutters found 100 pounds of bog butter. The butter was stored in a wooden bucket that was 5,000 years old.
Conway's find weighed 22 pounds. Experts said it was more than 2,000 years old.
