Crack Fic: P and P
Title: Pride and Prejudice
Author: Rill
Pairing: Asami/Takaba, Al/Ranmaru, assorted others…
Rating: Crack. Complete and utter crack. But, seriously, PG-13 for implied sex.
Notes: Alright, so I’m an English major. And I love slashing/pornifying my favorite novels. This is Viewfinder set in Regency England in major homage to Jane Austen. I have no idea if I’ll continue or if I should. It’s more for my own amusement that I wrote this. Please, somebody tell me it’s a horrible idea. Because if you don’t I’m going to write more. *bangs head on desk*

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single seme in possession of a good fortune must be in want of an uke.

However little known the feelings or views of such a seme may be on his first entering a neighborhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding familiars, that he is considered as the rightful property of some one or other of their uke…

“Ranmaru!” Ranmaru Valentino jerked his eyes up from his book and looked frantically around. Then his eyes lit on his younger brother, seated in a chair just across the room and studying a sketch book, and he relaxed.

“Ranmaru, have you heard? Netherfield has finally been let!” Al’s voice was delighted and he entered the room looking extremely happy. Akihito looked up, his lips curving in amusement. Ranmaru had to admit that it was rather funny to see his large seme looking so delighted and happy. Then what he had said registered.

“Really?” He asked, dreading the answer and the explanation for Al’s delighted mood.

“Yes! A seme of good fortune has come to the neighborhood!” Al’s smile was huge. Akihito’s face slid into a resigned expression and Ranmaru took a deep breath to keep from panicking.

“Really? How large a fortune?” He asked. Al’s smile grew even larger.

“Large enough. I met him just this afternoon and he’s very attractive and pleasant.” He purred and stepped forward. “Aki-kun, why don’t you go tell all of your brothers’ the good news.” Akihito shot an apologetic look at his brother and gave his guardian a small bow as he left. Al closed the door after him and smirked.

“Now, Ranmaru, why don’t we celebrate!” He tossed his jacket onto a chair and made quick work of his waistcoat and cravat . Ranmaru looked frantically around and then saw Akihito’s sketch pad resting on the armchair.

“As soon as I give Aki back his sketch pad!” He said and rushed over to grab it. Al’s arms came around him and the sketch pad was pulled away. Al scooped him up and carried him over to the door. He opened it again and dropped the sketch pad just outside, before shutting and locking it firmly.

Akihito watched his sketch pad fall to the floor and sighed as he went over to pick it up. No chance to interrupt. As much as his brother would prefer him to do so.

I'll see what I can do tomorrow. I have the day off and am going to try and sort out who the other characters will be.

Also I've had a little idea simmering unfinished in my mind for a while, but since you're an English major (and I'm a total procrastinator) I believe you are probably more qualified than me to do it - A Mid-Summers Night in the Viewfinder.

It's see... Midsummer's Night Dream Viewfinder Style. I can see Akihito as Hermia, but who were you seeing Asami as? I can't see him as Lysander or the other one who's name I don't remember.

Any suggestions for who I should make who in the P and P thing? I'm trying to figure out Mary and Kitty right now.

I love Pride and Prejudice!! I dont't know how often I already read it. So give your best, add as much crack as possible and your version will beat the original a thousand times.

My roommates always ask me what I'm laughing about. I usually paraphrase, since they wouldn't understand.

I'll try to write more. This one's a little out of my usual style, but somehow it still seems to work.

And I wouldn't feel so bad for Ran, he's doing just fine now. It's when Al finally succeeds in getting everyone else out of the house that I'd get worried.

As for Mik... *dances off singing 'not telling'*

Thank-you. It has been a while. I tend to write in spurts and now I'm on. But I hope the next chapter does help. Part of the problem with this is that it's a bit focused on the book by Austen. I think things will clarify in a bit though.

My bunny loves to be lazy, which it doesn't often get a chance to do. After a day or two of laze though, it starts itching to write. So I'll keep writing as long as I have free time!

I think I love you!! pride and prejudice is one of favoute novels ever! its a bit short but please hurry with the next chapter! this is awesome.. I wonder who teh Seme of good fortune is.. I hope its Asami! and who are Aki's brothers? Hurry!!
