It is expected that thereader will be relying on appropriate professionalknowledge and expertise to interpret the contents inthe context of the circumstances of the individualchild. BNF for Children should be used in conjunctionwith other appropriate and up-to-date literature and,where necessary, supplemented by expert advice.Information is also available from Medicines InformationServices (see inside front cover).Special care is required in managing childhood conditionswith unlicensed medicines or with licensedmedicines for unlicensed uses. Responsibility for theappropriate use of medicines lies solely with theindividual health professional.The print edition of BNF for Children is updated inJuly each year. For the most up-to-date information,please visit bnfc.org which is updated monthly.PharmaidNumerous requests have been received from developingcountries for BNFCs. The Pharmaid scheme ofthe Commonwealth Pharmacists Association willdispatch old BNFCs to Commonwealth countries.BNFCs will be collected from certain communitypharmacies in November.
