N-nitrosamines are formed in the reaction of an electrophilic
substitution of organic nitrogen with a nitrosating
compound. Organic nitrogen is derived from I, II or III
amines, hydroxylamine or amine peroxides, which are products
of transformation of fertilizers and phenoxyacetic
herbicides [9, 10].
