The Netherlands, was used
for the electrochemical measurements. The integrated three-electrodestripswereconnected to theAutolabPGSTAT-12with
a specially adapted electrical edge connector supplied from
DropSens (Milton Keynes, UK).
For comparisonpurposes, the polarograph (797 VA Compu-trace, Metrohm) with a HMDE was used as a reference system
to determine the metal concentration.
The pH values were determined with a Crison Model GLP
22 pH meter.
2.2. Experimental conditions
The measurements were performed immersing the SPE in
a 10mL of standard or sample solution and metal concen-trations were determined by square wave voltammetry. The
voltammetric parameters for the experiments were: condi-tioning potential−0.15V for 60s, deposition potential−1.1V
for 120s, equilibration time 30s, SW amplitude (Ep)28mV,
step potential (Es) 3mV and frequency (f) 15Hz. Stirring condi-tionswereusedduring the conditioning and the accumulation
steps, whereas the equilibration step and the square wave
scanwasperformed inaquiescent solution.Nooxygenremov-ing was performed.
