No, the CPSIA requires SP&E testing only for toys. Shinguards and Gloves are not classified as “toys” in ASTM F963 so these tests are not carried out for the creation of a CPSIA COC. However, please still apply the Nike Product Safety standards for kids which would require a factory to apply SP&E testing to all products made for use by children under 8 years old.
