Major Responsibilities: •Provide technical leadership on store systems and projects for Apple Retail Stores, including in-store servers, network infrastructure, system management, device tracking, etc. •Manage and support internal systems used by the IS&T Retail Systems team to support global infrastructure. Think strategically to determine future needs for capacity and investigate new products and/or features. •Build tools and processes to better manage and monitor our production systems and store infrastructure. Work to automate tasks and monitoring of store systems to improve availability, scalability and operability. Administer and ensure the proper execution of backup systems and disaster recovery processes. •Provide direction to field and support teams on implementation and support of store systems. Develop and provide tools that enable them to perform quicker issue resolution, and act as the main point of contact for any technical support escalations from the team. •Drive the resolution of issues for end users and project stakeholders by working independently and cross-functionally with other teams to identify, investigate, escalate and resolve global issues by performing superior troubleshooting and root cause analysis. •Develop policies and practices to establish and maintain standardization. Ensure that procedures are in sync with established corporate standards and store systems are in compliance with information security policies.
