"A rose for Emily" by William Faulkner in 1930, the story talked about a woman named Emily, and she just lived in her own world.
Emily's family had a different status of the town in South American, so when she death everyone was sad and curious to her house. When Emily was young, her father always driving out all of the pursuers who loved her. After her father death, she couldn't accept this truth, and she didn't need to pay any taxes. At the same time she met a lover, Homer Barron, after her father death. Emily loved Homer very much, but she heard some hearsaies which said "Homer liked men". Then Emily bought some poison like arsenic, but no one knew how did she do, then she poisoned to him by arsenic. After Emily's funeral, people went to her house and found a man's body on her bed, and next to the body they found a long iron gray hair.
I think Emily is a uncanny person, but many people are very curious about her.
