He had never questioned Asami's judgment, now though he thought that this decision was not the best one, that Asami was not thinking clearly and against his better judgment he stepped in his boss' way to prevent a severe mistake from happening."Asami-sama pardon my forwardness but I believe you might be acting too rashly, why don't we ask the kid what is going on and act accordingly after.""Souh, move.""Ryuichi! Will you just listen to me for once. I have followed you blindly, without questions for as long as I can remember. I have been your sword as much as I have been your shield but above all else I've been your friend and as your friend I am telling you, you are making a mistake and I can't go along with it."It was like a cold bucket of water had been thrown over his head. Suoh Kazumi, his friend of many years, gripped at his forearms and shook him a couple times as he delivered his words. He realized under different circumstances his head would have remained cool, he would have been able to listen to the confession and the facts instead of just wanting to go in there and put a bullet between Sumewari's eyes. This particular situation though, had to do with his bratty lover and he had flown off the handle. He composed himself and with a short nod indicated to his friend he had recovered his faculties, besides as he noted Kirishima fidgeting on the side he realized if he did not calm down the secretary would have a heart attack."Bring him in." He said, referring to Akihito. It was an unspoken agreement to listen to their side of the story before heads began to roll and Kirishima moved quickly to let the rampaging and cussing photographer out.Asami walked into the warehouse followed by a relieved Suoh and minutes later an angry Takaba and a silent Kirishima."Sit." He said to Akihito."Don't order me around! I am not one of your goons." Akihito complained yet at the same time he pulled a chair from the side and sat down."You, explain yourself. What is going on between you and Akihito?"Akihito's face clearly expressed the shock he was feeling. His eyes were open wide and his mouth was hanging open. He could not believe his ears, this whole mess was because Asami thought they had something going on. Asami thought he was cheating and the notion made him go up in flames of indignation."ARE YOU THAT STUPID! How could you think that of me? Have you no trust in me? There is nothing going on between us, why would you ever think that?""Akihito, it's okay, I will explain things."The photographer folded his arms over his chest and mumbled some barely audible curses as he sulked to the side."Asami-sama, Akihito is telling the truth. There is nothing going on between us that you need to worry about, I care very much for Aki but it's more like a close friend or a little brother of sorts than anything of romantic nature. We have a lot in common and get along well but my loyalty is to you, I swear upon my life that I would never disrespect you or stomp all over the trust you have placed in me when you put him in my care."Asami watched Jun with narrowed eyes, he searched every inch of the young man's face for a sign of deceit, finding none, he decided to believe him but he still wanted an explanation about the conversation he had received a report about. He made a motion to Suoh to untie Jun and turned to Kirishima."Kirishima, the report."Kirishima handed the report to Sumewari and allowed him time to read and process the words in it."Care to explain this." Said Asami looking at Jun's face as he read the report, Akihito made an attempt to get up and walk toward his friend so he could see what the report said, but Kirishima discretely shook his head, letting him know it was best to let Jun himself explain."Ah that, one of my friends had this car race going and Akihito wanted to go but I said he couldn't until he had your permission."Asami chuckled at the idea of Akihito ever asking permission to do something he really wanted to do."And he objected to it obviously." He said only to be taken back by Sumewari's words."Actually Sir, he agreed to talk to you about it.""Really?" Suoh had broken the momentary silence with a shock filled question."Yes, actually. Akihito and I were supposed to meet Takato-san and Kou-san that night for some hardcore gaming and drinking but Kirishima had informed me I was not to contact Akihito in any way. I must apologize for going against direct orders but I felt it would be wrong to just simply disappear without word and knowing Akihito, he would not get out of your hair until he knew why I wasn't around, so I made the decision to let him know I would not be coming over. He was disappointed about the race and I told him I would treat him to dinner in compensation when I was able to come around. That is pretty much what that whole deal was about."A thick vein popped on Asami's forehead every time Jun let a word out. Not because he was mad at Sumewari anymore, but because he had been angry and jealous over something ridiculous and it was all the fault of the moron who wrote that stupid report. In the back of his mind something tried to say that this whole mess could have been avoided if he had just asked Jun himself or Akihito for that matter, but he ignored that little voice.****VF****After clearing the misunderstanding, Asami instructed Suoh to take Sumewari home after getting him some medical assistance. Kirishima drove Asami and Akihito to the penthouse and the silence in the car was so thick you could almost touch it. Akihito was still not talking to Asami and his boss was giving him time to calm down before they got to talk. While Asami was listening to Sumewari's explanations, he had received a call from one of his men, he was not looking forward to delivering his next report but he knew sooner or later the subject would be brought up.
It happened when they reached Asami's home, Akihito broke the silence by asking the much dreaded question.
"Kirishima, what happened with my bike?"
"Ah, well… I sent a couple of my men to pick up yours and Sumewari-kun's bike but they only found Sumewari-kuns."
"What do you mean they only found Jun's?"
"I'm afraid your bike may have been stolen."
"Stolen… stolen you say."
"It appears so Takaba-kun.
