He walked into their house at noon, a bit earlier than he expected. He was about to head for the bathroom to have a shower when he noticed the sofa was pushed to the side. He didn’t pay much attention to that. The computer desk was moved into the centre of the room. He guessed the computer was slow and she decided to punish it, she told him she did that once. He chuckled, heading for the stairs.
On his way he noticed the kitchen was also experiencing some décor changes. The fridge was inched a bit and the dining table was almost blocking the entrance. He pushed it back to its place, noticing some items that rested on the floor. He was beginning to worry; the fridge was too heavy for her.
“Suzy…” he called out, rushing up the stairs. He relaxed when found her in their bedroom. He became confused instead. She was standing on the bed, which was now turned upside down. Pillows were thrown all over the room; the sheets were draped on the floor near the closet, the blankets were curled up and thrown. “What happened here?”
“Uh…I was changing the sheets”
His eyebrows rose. “Baby?”
“I was. Why are you early?” she asked.
“You don’t want me?”
“I didn’t mean it like that oppa” he absent-mindedly nodded. “You know I love it when you come early”
He was busy exploring his surroundings. The dressing table was a mess. All the drawers were pulled out and there were a lot of things on the floor. She jumped off the bed and ran to him, tugging on his arm and leading him to the bathroom. “Suzy what happened here?” he eyed her and she seemed really guilty.
She bit her lip and he could tell she was beginning to tear up a bit. “Oppa I’m really sorry” she looked down and he saw a tear falling.
“Baby it’s alright” He wiped it away then held her shoulder. “Can you tell me what happened?”
“I lost…my necklace”
“Why are you apologizing? It’s…”
“The one that…you got me”
“Oh...” he took a deep breath. It was the heart pendant.
She seemed really broken. “I really didn’t mean to lose it oppa. I’m really sorry”
He took her into his arms, moving his hand through her hair. ”it’s alright”
“I really didn’t mean to lose your heart” her voice was a whisper and she was crying.
He moved to look into her eyes, pushing her chin up when she refused to look at him, gently smiling down at her. “No matter what you do baby, you will never manage to lose my heart. It’s all yours as long as you’ll have it”
She looked up at him before breaking into a small smile. “Can you help me find it oppa?”
---
He walked to her dressing table. She told him she already searched there. He said she could’ve missed it. He went by her headbands, her necklaces, her accessories and her hair brushes. He used to have a mirror but the dressing table was bought when she moved in.
She was searching in their closet. He bought a double closet when she moved. Before that he emptied three racks for the nights she spent with him, even though he loved seeing her wearing his clothes. His closet was divided into a white and basic colour side, obviously his, and a very pink and colourful side that was hers. He chuckled a bit, causing her to look up. “What?”
“Nothing. I just love how our clothes look together” She stepped back to have a look, chuckling at the sight. He headed for the drawers next. She was immediately by his side, pushing him away. “But it could be there…”
“No”
“It could. Remember when I found your mobile in the fridge?”
“You’re not allowed near my underwear oppa”
“I’m the only one allowed near your underwear Suzy” he glared.
“Not after you….” She stopped talking when she noticed the grin on his face.
“Ripped half of them?”

He headed for the kitchen, passing by their book shelf, consisting of his books, and a wide mess of her college assignments and books that she didn’t seem to know how to organize. A small table was placed nearby, supposedly for her to study there. Instead, she’d usually study on their bed or on the carpet, placing a flower on the table, greeting him when he walks in every day.
He was searching through their cupboards when he saw her beloved pink cup. Another item he bought her to convince her to have milk. There were a lot of changes that happened in his kitchen since she moved in. She insisted they buy light green curtains since it would fit with the white cupboards. His original curtains were grey and very heavy. He told her it was classic. She made a face and told him it blocks all the sunlight and she wanted a view on the street when she’d cook.
He had to admit the kitchen looked much warmer.
He moved into their bathroom while she was searching in the living room, passing by their toothbrushes that were resting together. He bent down out of habit to avoid being hit by the extra rack he placed for her. Their towels were placed together on the racks. He smiled a bit.
“Oppa” he turned around, his head bumping into the rack. She winced. “Are you okay?” he rubbed his head and nodded.
“I really don’t understand why that rack is so important to you. Why can’t you just change outside like I do?”
“Because you would never let me go if I stepped in a towel oppa”
“True. But that’s not limited to when you wear a towel baby” he moved closer to take her into his arms.
She felt the familiar cold going against her neck before she noticed he had placed the pendant on her. “Oppa! Where did you find it?”
“In your dressing table”
“So I didn’t lose it?” she asked and he nodded.
“I told you, you can’t lose my heart baby”
“But you still searched the house….”
“Because seeing how much it means to you is so cute” she seemed a bit upset. He took her into his arms and leaned to whisper in her ear. “Thirty six is because I can’t imagine your things being anywhere but next to mine”
