Finally we have compared the present BPF against other microstrip type BPF. Matthaei et al.have designed an 8-pole BPF, using open-circuit stub to get 30% bandwidth [6]. This filter has spurious passband at and . The 3-pole BPF using the DGS with coupled microstrip line has bandwidth 10%, insertion-loss, dB and return loss 20 dB [4]. Another 3-pole BPF using the PBG with coupled microstrip line has bandwidth 9%, dB and 20 dB–25 dB rejection in the stopband [5]. Thus, the present BPF is more compact and has better performance both in the passband and stopband ascompared to these filters.
