width as well. (b) Where two valley glaciers flow together, their adjoining
lateral moraines merge into a medial moraine of the larger glacier
that they create. Medial moraines comprise the characteristic stripes that
ap pear on these glaciers in the Alaska Range. (c) The glacial deposits of
an end moraine form a ridge that rims the position of the terminus of
this glacier in Pakistan
