I am so sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with lag, super frustrating! We are very focused on assessing bad ping/lag currently & all reports of this is very useful for us, so thank you for deciding to write to us today.

There are a few things you can try, you may have already tried some of these options already, but here are my suggestions for you;

1. Try turning off any Bluetooth devices in your vicinity. Certain Bluetooth devices can interfere with wireless signals.
2. Experiment with turning off streaming services for music, movies, etc. A family member's reality TV show might be stealing all your thunder causing your WiFi connection to drop intermittently.
3. Make sure no cloud services are syncing or working in the background.
4. If you are playing over WiFi, restart your router. If you have a cable connection, also restart your cable modem. This can be easily done by unplugging the devices, waiting 30 seconds, then plugging them back in. It could take up to a few minutes for the devices to properly start up again.
5. Power off and reboot your iOS or Android device.

If none of the above is any help, check that your network connection is not blocked by a firewall. This could certainly be an issue if you are playing from a public place such as from a school or workplace. For reference all of the ports in ranges 6000-8000 and 8020 are required for Vainglory to function properly.


I can completely relate to how extremely frustrating it is when you experience lag and bad ping times due to the competitive nature of Vainglory. We are working to improve things on our side, if none of the above helps you may also want to check that there are no current issues with your Internet Service Provider.
