The workload for each staff in this department is quite significant. All the staff need to concentrate on their work to reduce mistakes as much as possible . Therefore, it is quite hard to ask the staff for detail instructions Solution: - Ask for related documents giving theory about operations or search on the Internet, then read carefully and handle the knowledge at home - Sum up all the questions and ask the supervisor during break time3. a. About organizational structure
Vietinbank Quang Tri branch is organized as hierarchy structure in which the duty and authority are reduce from the top to the bottom. Board of directors is the highest level who have the right to make important decisions and ensure to control all the performances of the bank.
Daily banking operations are specialized. Each staff has their own authority . They have to use their professional knowledge to make their task done perfectly and also take the responsibility for any mistake occurred .
Following is the particular function of each division in the bank:
i. Board of directors ( include Director and Deputy managing director)
Control and manage all the operations of staffs
Guide and interpret the correct implementation of function in scope of activities confided by higher authorities
Make the decision related to organized issues, appointments, commend and reward, punishment, etc towards bank staffs
Direct the emulation movement and guarantee for the interest of personnel in the bank with the coordination of other labor unions
Treat or make petition to jurisdiction levels to handle cases that individuals or companies offend monetary, credit or payable system of the branch
Sign the contracts on behalf of Vietinbank Quang Tri branch
Control and decide the issues related to organization according to the delegation of the CEO of Vietinbank
ii. Administrative department
Organize the staffs pursuant to guideline of the SUV and Vietinbank’s rule
Implement salary policy, social and medicine insurance for bank officers
Employers recruitment , arrange and organize the staff appropriately with their ability and specialized major
Administration management and ensure for the branch’s security
iii. Accounting transaction department
Carry out these operations:
Collect and expense money in transaction
Open bank account for customers
Draw the daily balance sheet to determine the incomings and outgoings of the branch
Measure cash flows between accounts of bank and customers, interbank operations
Issue cheques
Supervise E-banking
iv. Treasury department
Hold and manage budget in accordance with regulation of the SBV and Vietinbank
Ensure the treasury security management ( keep the balance and control the amount of domestic cash and foreign currency, saving certificates, commercial papers, collateral record,etc)
Pay in advance and collect money for saving funds , transactions point in and outside the funds
Collect and expense money in considerable transaction
v. Electronic data processing department
Manage and maintain the IT and data processing system
Computer and electronic equipments maintenance , ensure for continuous and smoothly performance of network
Data security
vi. Risk management and debt handling department
Act as a counselor for branch’s director about the activities of credit management
Supervise loan and investment portfolio
Guarantee for control the credit limit of current customers
Credit evaluation and re-evaluation
Measure and control risks in all banking activities of the branch
Recover and handle bad debt
b. About major bank operations:
Capital mobilization:
- Mobilize and collect saving money deposited, time deposit, etc of individuals and organization by Vietnam dong and foreign currency
- Issue certificate of deposit and carry out other kind of mobilization pursuant to The SBV’s law
Credit granting operations
- Give short- term, middle- term and long-term loans to individuals and companies for set up or develop business
- Grant loan secured by saving books or valuable papers
Besides, the bank also operate other banking activities such as: foreign remittance, foreign currency trading , open market operations, etc
