YMCA employs around 750 employees across Auckland and Hamilton. About the Role
Two positions available, one part time of approximately 15 hours per week and the other casual (as and when required). Reporting to the Programme Coordinator, you will be responsible providing safe, quality gymnastics instruction for children in preschool and after school programmes (Crawling -14 years old). This role may flow over into Dance and other recreation programmes.

Duties
• Instruct children’s Gymnastics courses, classes and activities
• Ensure a quality learning experience for all participants
• Monitor children’s progression in classes

Skills and Experience
• Gymnastics coaching certificate or equivalent qualification or prior participation in gymnastics classes
• Coaching ability
• Empathy for children, their development and their
cultural background
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently across all cultures and ages
• Dynamic personality
• Reliable and honest
• First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential
• Proven time management

Applicants who are Gymnasts or have experience teaching Gymnastics or Dance are preferred but not absolutely necessary. All applicants who are motivated, committed and enjoy working with children would be considered.
