The above reactions are incorporated in lic model, whose implications of certain assumptions about overall reaction rates or material properties can be checked. Therefore, in this study, the pervious experimental results of cement paste with
10%, 20% limestone substitutions are used to validate the output results of lic model [10,20].
3.2.1. Results and discussion
The degree of hydration of cement paste without and with 20% substitution of limestone respectively is shown in Fig. 6. Results indicate that modified lic model provides a good prediction of the influence of limestone substitution on the hydration rate of these blended materials. It was observed from this figure that model results would nearly match these modified CEMHYD3D model results [10] and the experimental results of Bonavetti et al. [20].
